Mary Tabish, age 94, of McKeesport, died May 2, 2018, at Independence Court of Monroeville, where she resided for the last 9 years. Born March 29, 1924, in Homestead, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Rizak) Dzamko and the wife of the late Leonard R. Tabish, for 60 years.

Mary dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a former member of the former St. Pius V Church, where she was also a Christian Mother. Mary enjoyed playing cards, knitting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Eileen (Brad) Blum of Greensburg, Mary Ellen (Robert) Corcoran of North Fayette Twp. and Kenneth R. (Mary) Tabish of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Matthew (Alexis) Blum of Chicago,IL, Heather (Cole) Wolfson of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael (Cristine) Corcoran of Boston, MA, Evan Corcoran of Dayton, OH, Caitlin Corcoran of Jersey City, NJ and Deavon Tabish-Moran of Albuquerque, NM; great grandchildren, Maida, Sam, Vivian and Josephine; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Stephen Dzamko; nephew, Thomas "Swallie" Dzamko. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from Noon to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 7, 2018, 10:30 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church of Monroeville. Father Anthony Gargotta will be the celebrant. Committal will follow in New St. Joseph's Mausoleum. Memorial contributions are suggested to Auberle Boys Home, 1101 Hartman St., McKeesport, PA 15132. Mary's family is eternally grateful to all the staff at Independence Court, both past and present, for all their love, compassion and care shown to their mother during her residence there. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to all the caregivers with Aseracare Hospice who provided additional physical and spiritual comfort to their mother during the past 18 months.
