Eugene "Big D" Vallorani, age 92, of Liberty Boro, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Southwestern Nursing Center. He was a retired electrical engineer for Westinghouse Electric in Waltz Mill, member of St. Mark's Parish in Liberty Boro and Knights of Columbus Council #995. An Army/Air Force veteran of World War II, he was an usher at the former St. Eugene's Parish and avid gardener and bowler.

Born July 3, 1923 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Luigi and Maria (DelMaster) Vallorani and husband of the late Edith (DeDonato) Vallorani. Eugene is survived by sons, Eugene A. (Trina) Vallorani of Beaumont, TX and Raymond G. (Linda) Vallorani of Grafton, WV; daughter, Linda (Robert) Jerome of Liberty Boro; 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Lisa, Melissa, Brandon, Jared, Karissa, Bettina and Katybeth; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Antonietta Berrettoni of Porto San Giorgio, Italy; niecess and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rhonda; 2 great grandchildren, Carter and Landon; and sisters, Suor Benedetta Maria Vallorani and Ida Vagnoni. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 N. 2nd. Ave., Elizabeth, PA 15037 (412-384-4344) on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Mark's Parish, Liberty Boro, with Father Daniel Straughn officiating.
