Vivian "Pat" (Kropp) Eakin, age 98, formerly of White Oak, died March 12, 2018, at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.  Born January 21, 1920, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Kropp.

Vivian was a graduate of McKeesport High School, Class of 1937.  She had worked as a school guard for White Oak Borough and made friends with every child she crossed.  Vivian enjoyed playing cards, swimming, taking walks, roller coasters and traveling, especially to Niagara Falls, Canada.  She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Corimski of McKeesport; grandson, Chris (Paulina) Corimski of Etna; great granddaughter, Amanda (Tom) Rinker of Lombard, IL; sister-in-law, Joan Kropp of White Oak; cousins, nieces, nephews; and Maisie Carr, her former caregiver.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Karen Ann Warfield; sister, Leona Thomas; brothers, Jack and Fritz Kropp; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kropp.  Special thanks are extended to all the caregivers at Saxony Health Center and especially her doctor, Danielle Godinez, for the comfort and care extended to Vivian during her stay.  Maxine has requested that friends wanting to celebrate her mom's life should do so by remembering something that the two of you did together which brings a smile to your face because of that time spent together.  Inurnment will be in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.  Services have been entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
