Melanie Sue Moffat, 63, of Dravosburg,  passed away Saturday, March  3, 2018. She was born September 28, 1954 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Alma Mae Eisenhuth Moffat and Robert (Evelyn Farkas) Moffat of Boston. Melanie was a retired Administrative Assistant at Elizabeth Forward School District with 35 years of service. She was secretary to the High School Principal, Guidance Dept, Athletic Dept. and District Business Manager as well as the District Special Education Dept. Melanie was instrumental in organizing the Senior Citizen's Luncheon, Graduation Ceremonies and the Crisis Control Team. She was also the Assistant Drama Director at the high school and started the former Girls Club of Boston. Melanie was secretary to the Board of Directors of the Dravosburg Housing Authority and was also the Board Secretary of White Thorn Lodge Nudist Camp in Chippewa. She had also worked for Sears' Jewelry Dept. in Century III Mall. In addition to her father, she is survived by sisters, Belinda  (David)  Donahoe and Angel (Terry ) McCormley of Dravosburg and Janine (Daniel) McBride of White Oak,  brothers, Gordon (Joni) Moffat of Butler and Robert (Annette) Moffat of North Port, FL,  step-sisters, Renee (Steven) Spitzer of Somerset, KY, and Tabitha  (Charles) Geramita of Castle Shannon, aunts, uncles, cousins, 14 nieces and nephews, and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends are welcome Monday, March 5 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday, March 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 7  at 10 am. Inurnment will follow in the Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg.
