William G. Jardanhazy, age 85 of North Huntingdon, formerly of McKeesport, died March 11, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Latrobe. Born April 13, 1930 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Droppa) Jardanhazy, and beloved husband of the late Frances E. (Hake) Jardanhazy.

William G. Jardanhazy, age 85 of North Huntingdon, formerly of McKeesport, died March 11, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Latrobe. Born April 13, 1930 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Droppa) Jardanhazy, and beloved husband of the late Frances E. (Hake) Jardanhazy. William was a graduate of Penn State McKeesport, where he received his associate degree in architecture. He formerly worked for Peter’s Packing Company in McKeesport, and later went on to become an architectural draftsman for G.C. Murphy and Latrobe Design Services. He was also a long-time member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church and had been active in the Masons and Shriners in McKeesport. William is survived by his daughter, Thea (Jeffrey) Kestner of North Huntingdon; nieces and nephews, Debbie Ritzo of Morre, SC, Louis Jardanhazy of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kathy Halaszynski of Salinas, CA; also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Louis Jardanhazy and sister, Olga Hazafi. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church in White Oak. The Rev. Scott E. Dennis will officiate. (Everyone please meet at church) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church or to the Free Hungarian Church in McKeesport.
