Theodore T. Grunwald, age 82 of Monessen, died Monday, November 27, 2017.  Born June 11, 1935 in Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances Walchok Grunwald, and the husband of the late Patricia Rekrut Grunwald.  He worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Allenport Plant until he retired.

He is survived by brother, Frank J. Grunwald of Belle Vernon; sisters, Elizabeth (the late Frank) Peduti of Mariana, Helen (the late Ralph) Brautigam of Monessen, Rose (the late Steve) Galaski of Monessen, Margaret Ann (Gary Alan) Grant of Belle Vernon and Frances Grunwald of Belle Vernon;

He is the loving uncle of Frank (Kathy) Peduti, Sharon (William) Laughner, Brenda (Dave) Dinardo, Pamela (Eugene) Scheller, Rev. Douglas Peduti, Ralph (Debbie) Brautigam, Joseph Brautigam, Steve (Sue Striffler) Galaski, John (Rose) Galaski, Vanessa (James) Nichol, Joseph (Judy) Grunwald, Beth Grunwald, Gary Grant, Christine (Patrick) Grant, Saundra (Lee) Marks; also 30 great nieces and nephews and 18 great-great nieces and nephews; and special friend and companion, Virginia Matty.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Nick Grunwald and niece, Diane Brautigam.

Friends will be received at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177) on Wednesday, Nov. 29th  from 6-8  pm and on Thursday, Nov. 30th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Eley-McCory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, 15438 (724-326-5621).  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Dec. 1st at 10:00 am at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Penn Blvd., Monessen, 15062 with nephew, Rev. Douglas Peduti, S.J., officiating.  Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.   Condolences may be made at www.strifflerfuneralhomes.com.
