Eugene "Babe" Roney, Jr., age 62, of Wilson, formerly of McKeesport, died November 18, 2017, at UPMC McKeesport. Born March 31, 1955, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Eugene, Sr., and Shirley (Pattakos) Roney and the husband of Minister Kelly (Handza) Roney of Wilson.

Babe worked as a nurses aide at McKeesport Hospital and was a brick layer by trade. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War as a MP. Babe enjoyed sports and bicycling. He had a passion for music and was a drummer in his own band. He was a member of the Juda Ministry International Worship Center. Babe was a very loving husband and provider. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In addition to his wife Kelly, Babe is survived by his children, Misty of FL, Zachary and Nathan both of McKeesport; step-son, Brandon of Irwin; brothers, Edward Roney and Nick (Sharon) Rucker both of McKeesport; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 12 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Nancy Crinnion will officiate.
