Helen Russin, 85, of White Oak, died Sunday at McKeesport Hospital.  Born November 22, 1931 in Coalport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Howshoski) Russin.  

She is survived by a sister, Ann Parascak of Tonawanda, NY; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by siblings, Charles, George, Frank, John, Metro and Mary Russin, and Eva Shaffer.  She was a graduate of McKeesport High School.  Helen retired in 1993 as a data processing operator at US Steel Pittsburgh Service Center (Southside) after 39 years of service.  She was a member of St. Gregory Russian Orthodox Church, Homestead where she formerly served as church treasurer.  Helen enjoyed traveling all over the world and she  also enjoyed crocheting, needlework, painting and crossword puzzles.  Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home, 4504 Walnut Street, Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) with Panachida at 7 pm.  A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Gregory Russian Orthodox Church 214 E. 15th Ave. Homestead with Fr.
