Elizabeth A. “Biffy” Sparks, age 60 of Port Vue, formerly of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was born on July 31, 1957 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late George E. and Judith Kain Lion. 

Elizabeth was an avid Penn State fan, loved the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed attending sporting events.  She liked gardening and spending time with family at the beach and Lake Michigan. Her children were her everything!

She is survived by her husband Jeff and children Anneliese and Jeffrey Sparks of Grosse Pointe, MI, sisters; Judith (Thomas) McCormick of Port Vue, Margaret Heisler of Whitehall, Carolyn (Scott) Kaercher of Whitehall, Regina (John) Mima of Laurel, MD, brothers; George (Janet) Lion Jr. of Elizabeth Twp., Dennis (Kathleen) Lion of Saratoga Springs, NY, also many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 6th from 3-8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 7^th at 10 AM in St. Mark Parish, Liberty Borough, with Fr. Daniel Straughn officiating. Condolences may be made at www.strifflerfuneralhomes.com.
