Lawrence R. "Pat" Power, 92, died July 4. 2017 at Weatherwood Manor, Greensburg.

 He was born on August 6, 1924 in Braddock, PA, the fourth son of the late Thomas and Evelyn Power.  Prior to his retirement, Pat worked as a manufacturer's representative selling health and beauty aid products to retailers in the Tri-State area.  He was a World War II veteran, having proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a passionate Pittsburgh sports fan.  A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he was especially fond of his Pitt Panthers.  Pat was an avid golfer and well-known by many local golfers.  He participated in many golf leagues throughout the years at local courses such as Caradam, Irwin Country Club and Valley Green.  He also enjoyed bowling with the Seniors Bowling League at Hillview Lanes in Greensburg.  When he was not out on the links or in the bowling alley, he enjoyed visiting with cronies at the North Huntingdon Giant Eagle cafe.  In recent years, he also enjoyed meeting with the WWII veterans group at Weatherwood Manor.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice; and his brothers, Clifford, John and James Power.  He is survived by his five daughters, Susan Power and her husband, George Kania of Las Vagas, NV, Laura Power and her husband, Richard DeMarle of Woodstock, VT, Barbara Poole of Hendersonville, NC, Gail Follador and her husband, Raymond of Harrison City, PA, Joanne Brado and her husband, Mark of Allison Park, PA; seven grandchildren, Patrick and Kathleen DeMarle, Ian (Savanna) Poole, Zachary and Talia Follador, Elise and Olivia Brado; and one great-grandchild, Maddie Poole.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment in National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.   Memorials may be made to a veterans charity of one's choice.   www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
