Richard S. Sarocky, age 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the VA Hospital, Oakland.

He was born November 12, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Stephen Sarocky and Pauline Lelich Sarocky Rutter.  Prior to his retirement, Richard was a heating and A/C service manager for Myers Furnace Supply and a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam Era on the USS Wasp.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon and enjoyed muscle cars and vacationing at the beach.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Anthony Marsolo; and his beloved beagle buddy, Cassie.  He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine DiIorio Sarocky; daughter, Deneen Sarocky Marsolo; son, Richard A. Sarocky and his wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Taylor, Kenzi and Nicole; brother, Ronald Sarocky and his wife, Diane.   Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30  a.m. in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon with Msgn. Paul Fitzmaurice officiating.  Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.  Memorial donations may be made to the Healthcare Center, VA Hospital, Oakland.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
