Richard S. Sarocky, age 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the VA Hospital, Oakland.
He was born November 12, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Stephen Sarocky and Pauline Lelich Sarocky Rutter. Prior to his retirement, Richard was a heating and A/C service manager for Myers Furnace Supply and a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam Era on the USS Wasp. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon and enjoyed muscle cars and vacationing at the beach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Anthony Marsolo; and his beloved beagle buddy, Cassie. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine DiIorio Sarocky; daughter, Deneen Sarocky Marsolo; son, Richard A. Sarocky and his wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Taylor, Kenzi and Nicole; brother, Ronald Sarocky and his wife, Diane. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon with Msgn. Paul Fitzmaurice officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
