Phylis Dorothy Lovas, age 74, of Belle Vernon, and formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a former employee for Giant Eagle and Shop 'n Save in West Mifflin. She enjoyed cross stitching, bingo and spending time with her family.

Born October 9, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Edward E. and Margaret (May) Hoy. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael A. Lovas of Belle Vernon; daughters, Amy (Heather) May of Belle Vernon and Tammy (Tom) Conroy of North Huntingdon; son, Michael Lovas II of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jeramey Derkas and Calvin Conroy; sister, Beverly Turkaly of North Carolina; twin brother, Phillip  Hoy of Delmont; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Skip Hoy. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10 AM in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William K. Little officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Offer condolences at www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
