Margaret "Margie" B. Mathers, 75, of South Union, formerly of Finleyville, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Mt. Macrina Manor in Uniontown. Retired, after 42 years of service, as a secretary with the Uniontown Police Department, she was a member of James Chapel United Methodist Church in Finleyville.

Margaret also worked for Filiaggi Lincoln Mercury Ford in Uniontown and Vick Moyer Ford in Charleroi. Born October 21, 1940 in Finleyville, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Marie Anna (Longhenry) Biddle. She is survived by sons, Charles "Chip" R. Mathers, Jr. of Uniontown and David R. Mathers of Uniontown; grandchildren, Taylor Mathers, Tristin Mathers and Karley Doman; brother, John E. Biddle of Monongahela; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, June Holzaphfel. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
