Pearl M. Buchanan, 77, of North Huntingdon passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 after a courageous struggle with Leukemia, surrounded by her children at her home. She was born February 6, 1938 in Somerset, PA, daughter of the late Peter and Lydia Pyle Hoyle. Prior to her retirement, Pearl was a Home Interiors Consultant, was a member of Norwin Alliance Church and the Norwin Democratic Club. She enjoyed decorating, shopping for her family and loved her pets, Jack, Butters and Tim.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Buchanan in 2007, and sister June Shunko. She is survived by her children, Kim Heinbaugh and her husband, David, Whendy Godich and her husband, Mark, Shelley Buchanan, William Buchanan and his wife, Beth; grandchildren, David (Carla) Heinbaugh, Danielle (Keith) LeJeune, Thomas J. Krause, Shannon Krause (Justin Denney), Evan Buchanan, Laura Beth Buchanan; great-granddaughter, Elle LeJeune, who called Pearl GG; brother John Hoyle; sisters, Lois Zerfoss, Grace Meyers and Shirley Wolk; and many numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Norwin Alliance Church, North Huntingdon.
