William H. Bowland Sr., 72, of Coulter, died Feb. 22, 2017, at home. Born Novemebr 27, 1944, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William Walter Bowland and the late Lula (Farren) Caliguri. He was the husband of Kimberly (Baker) Bowland of Coulter.

 William was a marine and worked as a truck driver. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and he especially loved hunting, fishing, and boating with his family. William was also quite the cook, he was best known for his famous spaghetti sauce.

 In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children, Judith Bowland, Billie Jo (Joshua) Killion, William Bowland, Jr., Elizabeth and Kathrine Bowland; step-children, Steven Susick and Ruth Ann Hampton; grandchildren, Britney, Addison, Aiden, Kylie, Haliee, Kelsey, Brittney and Cassidy; great grandchildren, Ella and Gracie; brother, George A. Caliguri, sister; Bonnie K. Caliguri; mother-in-law, Margaret Baker; sister-in-law, Christina Davidson; brother-in-laws, Harry (Mary) Baker and Henry (Tonia) Baker. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a son, James R. Bowland; siblings, Frank and Ida Mae; aunt, Gouldie Powell.

 Family and friends will be received at the Willig Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, February 25, 2017, 7 – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10am. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family of William H. Bowland.
