James M. “Jim” Stefan, age 81, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at home. He was a retired millwright at U.S. Steel Clairton Works and a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam. Jim was a member of the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post 75 of Clairton. He enjoyed and loved fishing, doo-wop and bowling. Born October 27, 1943, in Clairton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Irene (Buchina) Stefan and husband of the late Marie (Calabro) Stefan. He is survived by sons, Art (Jean) Stefan and Scott (Alissa) Stefan; daughter, Jill (Karen) Pazo; grandchildren, Nicole (Donny) Holtz, Trevor (Erin) Stefan, Michaela (Michael) Hull, Vince Stefan and Alyssa (Dale Jr.) Morgele; great-grandchildren Avery, Allyson and Claire Holtz, Beau and Tatum Stefan, Maverick Hull, Alora, Tessa and Dawson Morgele; brother, Tim Stefan; sister, Marcia Pletcher; also many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10 AM in St. Thomas a Becket Church, Jefferson Hills. Burial to follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256, and/or Project Healing Waters.
