Steve Katrenic, age 93 of Versailles and formerly of Port Vue and North Huntingdon, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth.  Born May 16, 1922 in Port Vue, he was a son of the late Steve Katrenic, Sr. and Susan (Wargo) Katrenic.  A retired raker for Trumbull Corporation and a member of St. Mark's Parish, Steve was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy. 

He enjoyed boating and fishing with his wife Alberta, gardening, and was always tinkering and fixing things around his workbench.  The Katrenics loved to fill up their travel trailer and head to Ft. Myers Campground in Florida for the winter months.  Steve joins his wife, the late Alberta B. (Przysucha) Katrenic, who passed away November 1, 2014.  He is survived by his son Michael Katrenic of Versailles, his sister Helen Lorince of Mt. Vernon, and also nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife and parents, Steve was preceded in death by to sisters: Annie Katrenic and Mary Rayman of Cochranton.  Friends are invited to a Blessing Service in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1 PM.  Interment will be private.  Steve's family asks his friends and neighbors to keep him in your prayers.
