Scott Michael McGauley, age 67, passed away on April 6, 2024.  He was the son of the late William and Martha (Patteson) McGauley.  Scott grew up in Pitcairn and was employed by Mine Safety Appliance in Pittsburgh for over 30 years as a machine operator and printer.  Scott assisted in the production of safety equipment for various industries, including safety helmets for the NFL and NASCAR, as well as medical supplies for the healthcare industry.  Scott enjoyed old television shows, woodwork, trains, and travel.  One of his most fond trips included a solo cross-country trip by vehicle and a vacation through Switzerland via the Glacier Express train with stops in Zermatt and St. Moritz with his friend Jed.  He will be sorely missed by dear friends, Jed Tomsula, Christopher Fedor and former coworkers, Helen Hankinson and Toni Martin.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Debra McGauley, and grandparents, Matilda Von Krug and Margaret McGauley.  Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.
