Robert Arthur Boot, age 81, of North Huntington, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2024. Born April 20, 1942, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Arthur "Dink" and Martha (Campbell) Boot and the husband of Joan (Kohl) Boot for 57 years.
He worked at Westinghouse for 18 years and Meco/Whemco as an electrician until he retired. Bob was a graduate of McKeesport High School.
He served in the US Navy for four years on the Destroyers USS Forrest B Royal & USS Arcadia as a Maintenance Foreman and Damage controller during the Vietnam War.
He was also a Volunteer fireman for the Hartford Heights Fire Company.
Bob and his wife Joan were always together, riding their trike, traveling the country in their RV, vacationing to see family, or visiting New England.

He was an avid model railroader and loved hunting and fishing. If you couldn't find him, he would be in his game room playing with his trains or at his hunting camp in Bedford, PA, with his cousin.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, and soon-to-be great-grandfather. He will always be remembered as a gentle, loving and hardworking man that loved his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by son, Robert Jr., "Bob" of NC; daughter, Kelly (Dan Haraczka) of Pottstown, PA; brother, Richard (Donna) Boot; sisters, Janice Boot and Diane (Neil) Kemp; grandchildren, Kaylee, Lauren, Dillan and Josephine; sisters-in-law, Nancy Berletic, Lynn Kohl, and Terrie Kohl; also nieces and nephews, Joe, Josh, Tobe, Torre, Tige, Andrea and Corey.
Along with his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Misty Boot; brothers-in-law, L.B. Berletic, Jimmy Kohl, Kenny Kohl, Larry Dansak; sister-in-law, Linda Dansak; nephew, Todd Kohl.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of blessing service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Committal prayers, Military honors, and burial will follow in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
