Richard Peter Semanisin, age 80, of North Versailles, died on Monday, November 27, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on May 28, 1943, and is the son of the late Peter and Sarah Perich Semanisin. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam, and was part owner of the former J+R Cleeland Printing in South Side. Richard received his Master's Degree in Education from the University of Kentucky. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, swimming, and loved his rescued cats.
Richard is survived by his wife, Monica Mendicino Semanisin, stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Brown (Bill Duck) of Wilkins Twp., step-grandson, Joseph Brown of Port St. Lucie, FL, and many cousins, loving cats, and bunnies.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177.) from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., when services will be held in the funeral home chapel. A burial will take place.
