Steven Gabriel Humphreys, 67, of McKeesport, died July 28, 2023, with sister by his side.  She was there for him when he needed her and was his best friend.  Beloved son of Edward R. and Isabelle C. McBride Humphreys.  They were truly blessed to have a wonderful son.  He was their life, and he gave them nothing but happiness.  His life was fulfilled with the love that he got from his parents.  He is survived by his sister Sally Humphreys of McKeesport, his brother Dr. John Schram and Renee, nieces Katelyn and Hayley and nephew Nathan, his beloved pets, Maggie, Buddy, and Jenny who loved him with all their hearts.  Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12-4 and 6-8 PM.  A blessing will be offered by Father Matthew Elangileth at 3:30 PM.

He was a kind hearted person, and everyone loved him. Steve had some hard times in his life, but he always pulled through the most difficult situations with a smile.  He needed guidance and supervision and it always made him feel better, and his sister always made him feel better.  He worked at McKeesport Hospital for 39 years.  He loved going to the Wilmerding gym and working out and enjoyed walking with his sister Sally and Maggie their Yorkie.at White Oak and Renzie Parks.  He was a member of the Senior Center at Renzie.  He was a collector of comic books since he was 4, and accumulated over 5,000 comics.  Going to the movies was his favorite, and he just saw “Flash” and loved it. He had a heart of gold, and a wonderful soul and a kind and loving and sweet spirit.  Now he is at peace free from his own pain and suffering.  When you love someone every moment is shadowed by the fear of loss.  The more you loved, the more you feel the loss.  His death leaves a giant hole in the hearts of his many friends.  Today we are not saying goodbye but only saying we will see you again.
