Juanita F. Ciancio, age 93, of North Huntingdon, died August 4, 2023, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born October 6, 1929, in Ellsworth, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Guilia (Baughman) Elmore and the wife of the late Alfonso K. Ciancio Sr.

Juanita dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. Juanita enjoyed cooking for her family, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, reading books from her collection, and visiting the library. She loved to travel and cherished her winter vacations in Fort Meyers, FL. Juanita and her husband would go "crabbing" and spend time enjoying the beach. She also went on road trips and bus trips to see different Broadway shows with her girlfriends. In her free time, she'd play cards with the girls and go bowling with her league friends.
Juanita is survived by her sons, Richard (Rose) Ciancio of North Huntingdon, Phillip (Linda) Ciancio of White Oak, and Timothy (Charmaine) Ciancio of Wellton, AZ; grandchildren, Phillip (Cathy) Ciancio, Chad (Olga) Ciancio, Kaitlyn Ciancio, Tenille Specht, Elizabeth Pearson and Brianne Cousins; great-grandsons, Jaxson and Ivan; siblings, John Elmore of Amissville, VA and Shirley Trosper of KY; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Al Ciancio Jr., and her siblings, Jack Elmore and Doney Klug.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Roundhill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christ United Methodist Church at 2800 Coulterville Rd, McKeesport, PA 15131.
