Patricia Ann Slinskey, age 86, of Dravosburg, died on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born in Leetsdale, PA on April 9, 1937 and grew up in Ambridge, PA. She is the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Komas O’Connor. After graduating from Ambridge High School with National Honors, she went to work for the A.M. Byers Company in Ambridge as an executive secretary. In 1958, she married our father John and changed careers to become a housewife. Mom was the sweetest, most loving, and devoted mother, grandma, and wife. Her adorable smile and unconditional kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met. Faith and family were her top priorities. Her delectable cooking and exquisite penmanship were just a few of her noteworthy talents. She took great pride in her Irish heritage. A devout catholic having said the rosary nightly, never swore or made a negative comment about anyone. A true saint. The world regrettably has lost its most generous and loving angel, but Heaven gained its superstar. We love and miss you mom and grandma!!!...”Here’s a Kiss”! Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Slinskey in 2022 and son, John D. Slinskey in 1968.
She is survived by her children, Cindy (Greg) Babiak of North Huntingdon; Gary Slinskey of Dravosburg; Brian (Kim) Slinskey of Lehighton, PA; and grandchildren, Jennifer (Jared) Long; John Babiak; Lauren Slinskey; and Kaylin Slinskey. A family gathering and a blessing service was held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Burial followed. Should friends desire, remembrances may be made to Mary, Mother of God Parish, 1640 Fawcett Avenue, White Oak, PA 15131.
