Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | June 01, 2023

Patricia Kay Rogers, age 87, of West Mifflin, known lovingly to most as “Mimi,” “Mum,” “Pat,” or “Tish,” passed away peacefully, on May 31, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester “Bus” Forsyth and Susan (Kerston) Forsyth.

Mimi was the glue to her family and a devoted friend and companion to all who knew her. She loved gambling, sweets, tulips, and her little, white dog, Sparky. In a room full of people, you could easily find her by listening for her laugh. She was known for her cherry squares and Texas sheet cake recipes, which she dutifully made whenever requested (which was often). She had the gift of making anyone she met feel special and important. She was the most loving, welcoming person you would ever meet and we are all blessed to have known her. We find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband, Bernie and her son Jamie, in heaven.

She is the loving mother of Cathy (Bruce) Schrieb, Jeff (Karen) Rogers, the late Jamie Rogers, and Michelle (Mark) Studnicki; cherished sister of Shirley Ann Kohl, John Forsyth, and Karen Yunn; devoted grandmother to Jessica, Jamie, Darren, Gabrielle, Maci, Olivia, Claudia and Zoee; and proud great-grandmother to Jordan, Dylan and Westen. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was special “Aunt Tish” to Johnny (Heather) Yunn, Kristy (Craig Cicon) Yunn, and Mikey (Megs) Yunn and aunt of Rhonda (Dave) Sprankle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a Blessing Service will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan Sweeney, officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
