Lois D. Jacobovitz, 71, formerly of North Huntingdon, residing in Ohio, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023. She was born December 20, 1951 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Bertram and Phyllis (Ursiny) Leader. Prior to her retirement, Lois was an Avon Representative, administrative assistant for Newmark and a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. Lois was an avid canine lover and enjoyed her time with her many special needs pups. She also loved to cook and crochet blankets for others. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, William Leader, and John Leader and his wife Marsha, as well as her brother-in-law Morris Decolati. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald Jacobovitz; son, Jonathan Jacobovitz and his wife, Brittany; daughter, Katie Jacobovitz and Garrett Fenstermaker; sisters, Jane Decolati, Marjory "Doe" Burtnett and her husband Richard; and beloved grandson, Dallas; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12727 Lincoln Way, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Interment to follow in South Versailles Cemetery, Coulter, PA.
