Alice Ruth Gallingane, 72, of Blythedale, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born December 26, 1950 in Avon Park, FL., and was the daughter of the late Rev. Remo H. and Tena Ruth (Johnson) Pletcher. She was a life long member of the Buena Vista United Presbyterian Church, and was also a member of Blythedale Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Yough PTA and Jefferson Hospital Health Council. Alice was in the first 6th grade class of the former Yough Elementary School and her son Christian was in the last 6th grade class there.

She is survived by her former husband, Jack Lynn Gallingane, daughter, Veta Lynn (fiancée, Earl Stidard) Gallingane of North Huntingdon, son, Christian Lynn Gallingane of Seven Fields, grandchildren, Sophia Lynn Gallingane, Avah Grace Randolph, Emmah Grace Randolph, Eli Stidard and Aleksa Stidard, brother, Remo D. (Deborah) Pletcher and sister, Grace L. (Kenneth) Angelo of Buena Vista, nieces, Kimberly Pletcher and Rachelle Pletcher and nephews, Justin Angelo and Jordan (Samantha) Angelo. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie B. Pletcher. Friends are welcome Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11 am. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
