Vernon “Butch” K. Garland, age 80, of Tionesta, PA, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. He was born in Glassport, PA on March 8, 1942 and is the son of the late Lester (Helen) Garland and Isabelle Findura Evans. Vernon proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1963, then later was employed at Ohio Power and retired from Westinghouse as a maintenance technician.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sharon (Roy “Spike”) Raible of Liberty Boro; Patrick E. (Lauren) Conley, III of Finleyville; Warren (Laurie) Conley of Cypress, TX; Leslie Conley of Port Vue; Sean (Michelle) Conley of Elizabeth; Thomas Evans of Pittsburgh; and Kristine Evans of Pitcairn; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his siblings, Lois (the late Patrick E., Jr.) Conley; Arlene Hill; and Thomas Evans.
