Alison (Jill) Zora, 89, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away at the Palms at O'Neil Personal Care Home on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023.  Alison (Jill) was born in Bootle, England on November 23, 1933 and is the daughter to the late Donald and Lillian McKinlay. She met her husband, American g.i., William Zora while he was stationed at Buttonwood Air Force Base, and they got married in 1953 in England.  After coming to the United States Alison (Jill) was a stay home housewife and mother. Alison (Jill) and William had 2 children, Eugene and Tammy. In the early 70' s she decided to join the workforce. She worked 3 Rivers Bank, Wayne Weil Carpeting, and Sears. After retiring from Sears, she started to travel on many adventures with her children. She then got an appetite for cruises; traveling to Alaska, Spain, France, Italy and most of the Mediterranean Islands. She had a very strong spirit, a mind of her own, and a great sense of adventure until recently when the illnesses took its toll. She loved her family, her grand-kitties, gambling, Reese's peanut butter cups, and Ben and Jerry's ice cream; Cherries Garcia flavor.

She is survived by her son Eugene of Austin Texas, daughter Tammy (Dave O'Toole) of Elizabeth township; her grand-kitties, Kitty Sue and Gunnar J; sister, June Bourdon of Granger, Indiana; and sister-in-law, Jani McKinlay of Rossendale, England. The family would like to send a very sincere 'Thank You' to the special caregivers of Commonwealth Hospice that took exceptional care of her until the end.
