Our beloved father, John Santino Anthony Molinari, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2022. He was born January 20, 1935, in Glassport, PA, son of the late Louis and Louise (Scapilatti) Molinari and husband of his beloved wife, Kiyoko (Nishihara) Molinari. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Filomena Molinari, Margaret Denicola, Dominic, and Louis Molinari, and Violet Kovtun.

John is survived by his children, John Molinari of Monroeville, Cindy and (Bill) Hawthorne of Wilmington, DE, Diane Zona of North Huntingdon, and Sandino Molinari of McKeesport; grandchildren, Ryan (Erin) Hawthorne, Adam (Lara) Hawthorne, Chelsea (Jeremy) Zaffuto, Nicholas, and Christopher Zona, Daniel and Dominic Molinari; great-grandchildren Alexa, Kayla, and Aria, he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all who he loved and will miss him dearly.
John retired after 31 years from the US Postal Service, a member and President for 17 years with the American Postal Workers Union. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Camp Sukiran, Okinawa.
He attended St. Peters Catholic School and was a Class of 1953 graduate of McKeesport high school. John was a great fan and an avid and skilled boxer in his youth. He enjoyed and loved traveling with his wife to Japan, and they spent many summers at the beach with his children, grandchildren, and their families. John was a family man who always put his family first. He will be sadly missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
John and his family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Christa, Audrey, and Dara with AHN Hospice for their special care. A special thank you to Father Joe Beck for his continued prayers and support, as well as all family members and dear friends who reached out to John and his children. They are all forever grateful.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at Corpus Christi Church, Mary Mother of God Parish. Committal prayers, military honors, and interment will follow at The New St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Versailles.
