Betty Jean Cavanaugh, 58, of Rostraver Twp., formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at home. She was born May 22, 1965 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy (Hoffman) Rose and was the wife of the late Daniel Cavanaugh who passed away, April 4, 2016. Betty was a retired Dental Assistant and worked for Dr. Stephanie Wehrle-Davies and the late Dr. Thomas Wehrle in Monongahela. She loved going to concerts, her dogs Sunny and Angel, and a sunny day in her pool or at the beach.

She is survived by daughter, Breanna (Jacob) Stemmerich of Plum, son, Daniel Cavanaugh of Rostraver, granddaughter, Amelia Stemmerich of Plum, brother, Fred (Joan) Rose of New Kensington, sisters, Dorothy Dewyer of Canonsburg, Virginia (Wendell) Wuchter of Warsaw, IN., Evelyn (David) Johns of Wataugh, TN., Linda Kontur of Rostraver, Susan Benick of North Huntingdon, and Helen (Charles) Rosier of Liberty Borough, nieces, nephews, and her fiancée, Paul Salopek of Rostraver. Friends are welcome Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director.
