Mary Ann Salopek, 58, died Saturday March 18, 2017 with her loving daughter Jennifer by her side. She was the daughter of the late John Cvejkus and Catherine Pruitt. Mary Ann was preceded in death by brother John Cvejkus and is survived by sister Kathy (Gary) Frizzi, daughter Jennifer Salopek, and grandson Tyler Salopek. Marcia Mae Fransko, age 83 of Butler, formerly of White Oak, died March 17, 2017, at Butler Memorial Hospital.  Born May 27, 1933, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Michael G. and Anna (Bronowski) Matwick and the wife of the late Robert J. Fransko for 62 years. Marcia Mae dedicated her life to caring for her family. She is survived by sons, Scott Gregory of White Oak and Douglas Stephan Fransko of Gilbert, AZ; daughter, Melissa Ann Corbelli of Gibsonia; sister, Darlene O'Toole of Castle Shannon; sisters-in-law, Patricia Babyak of South Park and Mim Matwick of Tempe, AZ; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory from 11a.m. until the time of service at noon, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.  Entombment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum. He retired happily as a Lieutenant for the West Mifflin Police Department after 29 years of service. He was a member of the #3 Fire Department of West Mifflin, American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills, Fraternal Order of Police, VFW Post 802 in Wilson, Syria Shriners, and the Bethel Park Lodge #761 F&AM for over 39 years. He also loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and spending time with his fellow friends.

Abraitis, 68, of Apollo, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at the William Penn Care Center.  Born in McKeesport, October 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mabel E. “Betty” Hagan Abraitis, Jr.  He was a retired heavy equipment driver, a member of St. James the Greater church in Apollo, the Apollo V.F.W., the American Legion in Vandergrift, and was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.  He is survived by 2 brothers, Michael J. Abraitis III of McKeesport and David R. Abraitis of McKeesport; 2 sisters, Loretta Nothdurft and Susan M. Cokain of Harrisville, PA; also by nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Monday from 3-7 PM.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church by Father Thomas Moore, OSB on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
