Anna Mae (Jean) Stephan, passed peacefully on December 20, 2016.  She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew J. and Anna (Mraz) Brenzie, and her husband Bob Stephan.  Jean is survived by her daughter Jenean (David) Sustarsic, son B.J. (Andi) Stephan, and grandchildren Pete, Sydney, Aria, and Max.  Jean loved the outdoors, walking, and spending time with her friends and family.  She worked at Firth Stirling in McKeesport before raising her family, and finished her career at the Pittsburgh Blind Association, before serving as the President of the SS. Peter & Paul Ladies Guild in Duquesne, PA.   A private service is being held at Skovranko’s before being laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in North Versailles, PA.

Rose Marie Wilkerson, age 78, of Newark, DE peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2016.  Rose was born and raised in Clairton, PA to the late John and Barbara Popchak.  She and her late husband were blessed with five children and moved throughout the USA per his Air Force assignments.  Rose retired from the State of Delaware where she worked as a Senior Social Worker.  She was an avid reader, loved and rescued cats, and enjoyed playing the slots at Delaware Park.

Karen D. Fry, age 72 of McKeesport, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Born October 20, 1944 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Helen May (Terwilliger) Johnson, and beloved wife of Robert W. Fry for 51 years. Karen was an active lifelong member of the McKeesport Alliance Church, where she dedicated her time serving as a Deaconess. After raising her children, she went on to work in the human resource department at Auberle, having retired after more than 10 years. Her true joy in life, however, was spending time with her grandchildren. She was always willing and eager to fill in as "the babysitter" when called upon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher W. (Karen M.) Fry of Monroeville and Marie Elena (Jeffrey) Matta of McLean, VA; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Naomi, Esther, Deborah and Joshua Fry, and Jacob Matta; siblings, Lucille H. (Raymond) Stombaugh of Portage, PA and Phillip (Mary) Johnson of McKeesport; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Joel, and her brother, Kenneth Johnson. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Daryl Ann Hemann Sproul, 77, of Liberty Boro, formerly of McKeesport, passed away at home on Wednesday December 21, 2016.  She was born May 7, 1939 in McKeesport to the late Oliver L. and Viola Edith Hammerstram Hemann.  Daryl is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Howard; daughter, Laurie (Ray) Huckestein of Sewickley; son, Howard D. (Rebecca) Sproul of Elizabeth; grandchildren Chris (Nikki), Keith, Emma, Jenna; great-grandchildren Bailey, Trenton and Ryan.   Daryl was a member of Evangelical Congregational Church in McKeesport, she enjoyed motorcycle riding and collecting Snow White memorabilia. James “Fearless” F. Hvozdik, 63, of Glassport passed away at home on Wednesday December 21, 2016.  He was born November 11, 1953 in McKeesport to Jean R. Dworek Hvozdik and the late George F. Hvozdik who passed away in 2011. James is survived by brother, Francis R. (Gina) Hvozdik of Glassport; sister, Theresa M. (Bernie) McAllister of Cincinnati, OH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was a 1971 graduate of South Allegheny High School, a member of Queen of The Rosary Church & the American Legion both in Glassport a veteran of the US Navy, and a former employee of La Romana in Glassport.
