William C. Faith

William C. Faith, age 79, of West Mifflin, passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, 2022.  Born in West Mifflin on March 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Lydia Marie (Miller) Faith. He was retired from Mesta Machine as a lathe operator and later did landscaping and mechanical work. He was a member of the Terrace Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer firefighter with the West Mifflin Volunteer Fire Department, Homeville. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War (1961-1964). He is survived by his children, Melissa (Jesse) Reid of Plum Boro and Chrystal Faith of West Mifflin; granddaughter, Starr (Chris) Demeri; great granddaughter, Jaycee Faith Demeri; and sister, Dorathy Marie (Charles) Youngfleisch of Schellsburg, PA. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Lois (late Charles “Tex”) Gwinn, Marian (late Clyde) Kahn, Eleanor (late Paul) Bickerton, Peter J. (Late Iva) Faith, Albert Faith and Florence (husband Joe survives) Utterback of Plum Boro. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Rebecca Dakin, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born November 1, 1957 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Dorothy (Kondrich) Dakin. Before her retirement, Rebecca taught at Penn Hills High School, where she was named Teacher of the Year. She was a member of the Ardara Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Becky was a passionate teacher, a master quilter, and a trusted mentor. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her sisters, Deborah Dakin and Loretta Dakin, her brother, Lloyd Dakin Jr. and his wife, He-Bing; her nephew Lloyd Tai Dakin and niece Katra Dakin. There will be no visitation. Marlene DeSimone

Marlene (Jurenek) DeSimone, age 84 of Clairton, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Seneca Place in Verona. Born September 14, 1937 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Troychak) Jurenek.  Marlene, along with her husband, co-owned the M.J. DeSimone Fruit Company in Clairton and was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (St. John 23rd Parish) in Jefferson Hills. Marlene engaged in many charitable works, particularly in her former parishes of St. Joseph and St. Clare in Clairton.  She was also known for making outstanding fruit baskets near the holidays. She loved crafts and gardening but her main focus was always her family. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Victor DeSimone, who passed away on November 12, 2020. She is survived by her daughters Rosemarie (Carl) Fetch of Monongahela, Victoria (Gene) Zombek of Wilkins Twp., Marlene (Scott) Stachowski of Milton, GA, and Carol (Samir) Joglekar of Duluth, GA; her grandchildren Hilarie and Jordan Zombek, Austin and Emily Stachowski, and Maya and Pierce Joglekar; her brother Don (Jane) Jurenek of Georgia; and also nieces and nephews.

Paul Robert Di Fabio

Paul Robert Di Fabio, 88, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was born June 22, 1933 in Christy Park and was the son of the late Antonio V. and Anna (Berardi) Di Fabio. Paul was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak, The American Legion, and McKeesport Kiwanis Club for over 50 years where he was president from 1971-1972 and was instrumental in the Interfaith Chapel at McKeesport Hospital. He was a US Army Veteran  and served as a Military Policeman. Paul began his career in the automobile business as Service Manager of the former Peckman Motors in Versailles, and then became proprietor of Di Fabio Amoco in McKeesport. He retired from the former Tom Clark Chevrolet in McKeesport after selling over 4000 cars. Paul was an avid Steelers fan and attended 5 Super Bowls.

Murrell M. Eagle, age 66, of Versailles, died June 16, 2022, at home.  Born January 29, 1956, in East Rainelle, WV, he was the son of the late Walter H. Eagle Jr. and Leila (Ward) Eagle Sheppard and husband of the late Deborah Eagle.  
Murrell was a bodyman most of his life and always enjoyed working on cars.  He liked to fish the Yough River at Boston and socializing with friends at various clubs.  
He is survived by children, Derek Eagle and Brittany Eagle; step-children, Danielle (David) Daley, Trish Waggoner, Matt (Hannah) Brown, and Lindsey (John Mochar) Brown; grandchildren, Kira Eagle, Romeo Eagle, Yuri Miller, and Mayson Miller; step-grandchildren, Daniel Daley, Alayna Brown, Colton Brown, Jordan Mochar, Olivia Mochar, Jesse Waggoner, Joseph Waggoner, and Christian Cain; siblings, Sheila (Gary) Keener, Tricia (Tom) Keener, Connie (Will) Harrison, Brenda Eagle, and many nieces and nephews.  
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Merle Eagle and brothers, Chuck Eagle and Eddie Eagle.  
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at Dravosburg fire hall on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 1pm.

Christian E. Pearson, age 33, of Versailles Borough, passed away June 15, 2022. Born October 29, 1988, in Monroeville, he was the son of Christian T. and Daphne (Chevrez) Pearson and the fiancé of Jaymei Serrano.
Christian was the owner and operator of Infinite Trades Construction. He loved and cherished his family and the time spent with them. Christian enjoyed fishing, music, and sports. He was very proud of his tattoo on his arm of the Puerto Rican flag representing part of his heritage. Christian was also a pet lover, leaving behind his loyal dog, "Alvin."

Christopher E. Rodgers, age 53, of North Versailles, formerly of McKeesport, died June 13, 2022, at home. Born June 12, 1969, in McKeesport, he was the son of Eugene Edgar Rodgers and the late Judith Ellen (Fallquist) Rodgers.
Chris worked at US Steel Irvin Works in the warehouse banding steel rolls, where he had 25 years of service. He was a Sons member of the American Legion of White Oak Post #701. Chris loved his dogs, Uno and Mira, and you could often find him purchasing the special of the day at local eating establishments to feed his loyal beloved best friends. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and a toast with friends. Chris had a loving heart, contagious laugh, and a smile that will always be remembered.

Joseph worked as a crane operator for Irvin Works in West Mifflin for 40 years and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.  Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, the late Veronica (Papucic) Elkowitz, who passed away on February 21, 2019. He is survived by his sons Michael (Darlene) Mursch of West Mifflin, Jamie (Sarah) Elkowitz of Jefferson Hills, and Shaun Elkowitz of Clairton; grandchildren Marissa (John) Mursch, Holly, Ally, & Essy Elkowitz, Krista (Ziya) Hajiyev, and Allyn (Darci) Fenwick; great-grandchildren Marley Graham, Jayla and Aydin Hajiyev, and Maylanna and A.J. Lebanon and was the daughter of the late Edward Ronald and Marian Louise (Myers) Menke. Beth attended college at Edinboro University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She volunteered most of her time to multiple VFW's and American Legions. She is survived by her sons, Kyle (Anne Quinio) Hufnagel of South Park, and Neil Hufnagel of Seattle, WA; sisters, Laura (Greg) Flaus of Mt. Lebanon, and Lisa (Rick) Foster of Mars, PA; grandson, Jude Hufnagel, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Beth is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward Philburn, who passed away May 21, 2021. There is no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She was born July 9, 1948 in Clairton, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Fike) Ferrence. Prior to her retirement, Mary Ann was a registered nurse for Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Pine Run Methodist Church, Clairton and enjoyed talking on the phone, outdoor concerts, social dining, visiting the casinos, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events, and loved her pets. She is survived by her husband, Arthur A. Algeri; son, Jeffrey (Sarah) Algeri; daughter, Jennifer (Devon) Lippmann; brothers, John Lee (Lorraine) Ferrence, Greg (Tammy) Ferrence; sister, Joy Davies; grandchildren, Keiran, Carden, Kherington, Maggie and Dori. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
