Kraus, age 43 of Port Vue, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.  Born October 8, 1979 in McKeesport, he is the son of Lori (Wagner) Kraus of Liberty Borough and the late Glenn Kraus, who passed away in 1983.  A member of the Carpenter's Union Local #142, Nicholas currently worked at Window Installation Specialists of Irwin.  Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Amanda (Rendulic) Kraus, his daughter Kimber Coy Kraus, his sister Amy (George) Bendel of Mt. Vernon, and his nephew Kole Bendel.

We are heartbroken at the loss of our precious Tristen Hornfeck born on February 12 1996.  He has left behind a loving mother, Maria Lipay Hornfeck, and father, Mark Hornfeck. He was the oldest sibling to his sisters Natalie and Madison Hornfeck, and brother Tanner Hornfeck. He was also a loving uncle, grandson, cousin and friend who will all miss him so much. Tristen worked for Rock Hard Hardscape and was passionate about what he did. He always brought a smile to everyone’s face. He was very loved and will be missed terribly.

Born in Midland, PA on July 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Vujo and Sophie (Bassar) Suzich. She was a food and beverage clerk at the William Penn Hotel for 35 years, a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport and a member of their Young at Heart. Becky is the mother of Lora Dean (Dennis) Washowich of McKeesport; grandmother of Lyle (Michele) Washowich and Lynn (Amber) Washowich; great grandmother of Michael, Samuel, Aiden and Ava; great aunt of Diane, Melinda, David and Christine Tkacs, and Bill Margita; sister of the late Ann Suzich, late Kay Margita and late Dorothy Suzich. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Michael R. Megon, 65, of Trafford, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his home. He was born June 25, 1957 in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Richard and Carmella (Meli) Megon. Michael was currently an insurance agent for Century Insurance Consultants in Monroeville. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and a graduate of Penn Trafford High School Class of '75. He was an avid golfer, Lego enthusiast, Pittsburgh Pirates fan and diehard Cleveland Brown fan, and especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joann (Kunkelmann) Megon; son, Bryan Megon and his wife, Katie; daughter, Lindsay Marco and her husband, David; brother, Corey (Diana) Megon; sister, Marcy (Gary) Snyder; grandchildren, Gavin, Riley, Chase, Parker and Charlotte. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Evelyn retired from Franklin's Market as a cashier. She graduated from Homestead High School. Evelyn was a former member of St. Mary Czestochowa Parish and helped with Sunday School for over 20 years. She was an avid reader of short stories and enjoyed doing the NY Times crossword puzzles.

John Robert Sims, Jr., age 76, of White Oak, died on Monday, October 17, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 21, 1945 and is the son of the late John Robert, Sr. and Gay Marie Hessenmueller Sims. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was stationed on the same submarine that is at the Carnegie Science Center. After serving in the military, John was employed at the Hilton in downtown Pittsburgh, he worked in sales for many years, He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a masters in sociology. He then taught at various colleges throughout the area including the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Duquesne, La Roche University, and the Community College of Allegheny County. In 1998 he founded the Single and Custodial Father’s Network and continued there until its closing when he retired in 2005. He provided help to many, many people throughout the years.

Eleanor M. Duvall Linn

Eleanor M. Duvall Linn, 86, of White Oak, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love, on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital.

She was born August 9, 1936 in Monessen to the late Cassius and Elizabeth J. (Wallace) Duvall.

Eleanor was the devoted wife of the late Charles E. Linn Jr. who passed away in 2007.  She is survived by children, Kathy DeMarco of Glassport, Charles E. Linn III of White Oak, nephew, Michael Dorich of Trafford, who she raised as her own, grandchildren; Jason (Holly) DeMarco, Shannon (Ryan) Campbell, Angela (Donnie Rudberg) Linn, Jessica (Dave) Gross.  Great grandchildren; Ethan, Shane, Ryder, Izzy, Emma, Levi, Jackson, Zoey, & Lucy as well as nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by son; William R. (Bill) Linn of McKeesport; brother, James Duvall, sister, Rosemary Dorich, niece, Kim Dorich.

Eleanor was an active member of the Bryn Mawr Church of Christ in White Oak where she taught Sunday school for over 40 yrs. She helped with youth group, was a deaconess, and started a crochet/knitting group known as “Busy Hands” (jokingly referred to as “The Happy Hookers” by her daughter).  She was an avid reader and took books to the church for others to borrow, helped with the flea market, and essentially helped wherever needed.  Eleanor was a magnificent baker; always baking for others, especially family graduations and weddings.  She loved crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, Scrabble, and anything that exercised her brain and her vast vocabulary. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, and her loving spirit will live on in those whose lives she touched.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. A service at the funeral home will immediately follow at 7:00 P.M. Interment will take place at a later date at Richland Cemetery in Dravosburg. Dominic Michael Judy, age 61, of Harrison City, passed away at home on October 15, 2022, after an extended illness. Born on October 2, 1961, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Virginia M. (Teti) Judy and the husband of Christine (Buleza) Judy for 32 years.
After Dominic graduated from McKeesport High School and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, he worked as a pharmacist at McKeesport Hospital, Rite Aid, and finished his career at Express Scripts. Through the years, Dominic always had a love for music and magic. His fascination for music started at a young age. His home and vehicles always had to have the best sound systems for him to enjoy his favorite songs. He enjoyed doing magic for his young nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed traveling with his lovely wife. His favorite destinations were Hawaii and Disney World, which they visited often. Dominic was known for his love for fireworks. His annual Fourth of July firework show was admired by family, friends, and neighbors.
