John Edward Pancurak, Jr., age 97, of Port Vue, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born in Port Vue on August 1, 1925 and is the son of the late John Edward, Sr. and Mary Suhy Pancurak and the husband of the late Margaret Loretta Pancurak, who died on May 26, 2014. John proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. After his service, he was employed as a quality auditor for General Motors Fisher Auto Body in West Mifflin. He was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, the Port Vue American Legion Post 447, the Jednota Lodge #38 in Duquesne, and the Wilkinsburg Stamp Club.

Renee R. DiBiase, age 76 of Bristol Rhode Island died Monday, October 24, 2022. She was born August 17, 1946 in Braddock, Pa., a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Balowitz DiBiase. Renee graduated from Wilmerding Westinghouse Memorial High School Class of 1964. She received her Bachelor degree in nursing from the University of Delaware. Renee was a Vietnam Veteran having served as a registered nurse for the Navy Nurse Corps where she retired as a commander. She enjoyed sailing and kayaking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Toni Dempsey, her nephew, Blaine Messick. She is survived by her longtime friend, Kay Hess, a brother, Richard DiBiase (Kim), sister Jeanne Messick (Blaine). Friends will be received at the James W. John L. Gilliland, 84, of Arona, formerly of Panther Hollow, Oakland passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at home. He was born December 5, 1937 in Oakland, Pa. Prior to his retirement, John was a brakeman for Union Railroad and a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Bill & Rae’s Pool League in Herminie and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Chester; and sister, Dolores. He is survived by his wife, Philomena (DeRiggi) Gilliland; son, John (Melissa) Gilliland Jr.; daughters, Michelle (Sean Byrnes) Gilliland, Mary Susan Gilliland; stepson, Neal Trovy; sister-in-law, Linda (Paul) Hawn; grandchildren, Kailey and Courtney; great-grandson, Leon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA . Wayne served in the US Army as a Tank Driver from 1959 - 1962 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a Steel Worker for Irvin Works for many years leading up to retirement. He avid fisherman and hunter with his long time friend, John Laska and other friends. Wayne and his wife enjoyed "glamping" for the past 40+ years.

Adalgisa Pillera, age 93, of McKeesport, died October 23, 2022, at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth.  Born August 5, 1929, in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina (Ricciotti) Alfonsi and the wife of the late Giuseppe Pillera.  Adalgisa retired from Feig's Bakery, where she worked as a baker and decorator.  She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, and was also a Christian Mother.  Adalgisa spent time outside tending to her garden and always enjoyed a good espresso with dessert.  She was the oldest of seven siblings and always looked out for her younger brothers and sisters.  When she was fourteen, she moved to Rome on her own to work as a maid and send the money she made back to the family.

Youngerman, 40, of North Huntingdon passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at UPMC East.  She was born June 9, 1982, a daughter of Hilda Brown Youngerman and the late Kenneth Youngerman.  Amy was a nurses aid and enjoyed trips to the beach and hiking.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Youngerman and sister, Lisa Ann Youngerman.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Jennifer Youngerman.  Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the James W. William A. "Fuzzy" Brooks

William A. "Fuzzy" Brooks, age 96, of White Oak, died October 21, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born February 15, 1926, in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Matthew and Nellie Brooks and husband of the late Arlene Brooks.
Fuzzy was a Staff Sergeant in the Army during World War II. He was wounded in Germany and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his service. After his honorable discharge, Fuzzy began his civilian career with U.S. Steel as a millwright and retired in 1985. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed watching the Steelers and Pirates.
He is survived by a son, Jon (Cindy Capp) Brooks.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Angela of Merici Church, Mary Mother of God Parish. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue.
