Margaret R. "Peg" Mellott, age 95, of Liberty Boro, passed away on December 4, 2022, at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born on May 13, 1927, in Glassport, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Makoski) Murray and the wife of the late Ken Mellott for 56 years.
After graduating from high school, Peg was fortunate to be employed by Copperweld Steel Company for ten years. She loved her family, her faith, "old" and "new" friends, animals (especially dogs), and feeding the birds.
Peg is survived by her sons, Mark and James of Liberty Boro and Robert of Noblesville, IN; granddaughters, Natalie (Ryan Taylor) Mellott and Emily (Larry) Barker; great-grandchildren, Ella, Ava, Drake, Vayda, and Vance; caring nieces and nephews.

Joel T.  Mance, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was born October 28, 1958 a son of the late Thomas V. and Mildred (Gongaware) Mance. Joel was a 1976 graduate of Norwin Sr. High School and attended Penn State University prior to starting his career as a traveling operator for Duquesne Light Company, for which he earned 38 years of service before retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin and could always be counted on to help friends, family and neighbors in need. He was an excellent cook, baker, talented artist and avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and especially hunting grouse in his favorite woods in Indiana County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Neil Mance and grandparents, Valentine and Rosa (Sajovitz) Mance and H. Glenn and Elva (Gress) Gongaware. He is survived by his wife, Diane Duffy Mance; children, Forrest and Elizabeth Mance of North Huntingdon; brothers, Val (Marilyn) of Sugar Loaf, Pa., Dale of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA  15642. Thomas Scott Geyer, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022. He was born April 10, 1945 in Wilkinsburg and was the son of the late Edward H. and Grace (Young) Geyer. Tom was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church where he was also a Lay Reader and Lay Pastor. He was retired and had worked for ACHIVA as the Manager of Community Employment. He had previously worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken as a Training Manager and was also a Teacher at Elizabeth Forward High School from 1967 to 1980. He was a 1963 graduate of Turtle Creek High School and was also a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor and Master Degree.

Nicholas M. Gimiliano, age 71 of Clairton, passed away at home on Sunday, December 4, 2022.  Born April 27, 1951 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Peter A. and Josephine (Curinga) Gimiliano.  Nick graduated from Clairton High School, Class of 1969, where he played baseball and basketball; received his Associates Degree from California State University; and his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  He was a musician who also privately taught music and drove bus.  He was well known as the drummer for the popular band Pure Gold.  Nick is survived by his wife, whom he met while they were both working on the S.S. Dolphin Cruise Ship and to whom he has been married for 33 years, Karen Mellor-Gimiliano; his daughter Nina Rose Gimiliano, his son Giullio (fiancee' Rachel) Gimiliano; his sister Angela Summers of Clairton; his brother Giullio Gimiliano of Jefferson Hills, and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was born October 20, 1934 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Richard and Leona (Pencoski) Diamond. Kathryn graduated with her Associates degree from California State College. She worked as a School Nurse for the McKeesport Area School District for many years prior to retirement. She was a long time member of St. Pius V., and eventually became a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi. She is survived by her son-in-law, Archie Parker; granddaughter, Jillian (Jeremy) Wall; and great-grandson, Alexander Wall. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kelli Parker; brothers, James and C. Richard Diamond; and sister, Anna Stolinski. Florence Bonadio- Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother

  Florence “Flo” Bonadio of Glassport, passed away peacefully, Thursday December 1, 2022, at the age of 99. Florence was born November 11, 1923 to Mary Mehara and Frank Shadwick. Married October 10, 1942, she joins her husband of 56 years, Natale “Nate” Bonadio, who passed in 1998. She was the dear mother of the late Donna (Dennis) Frattaroli, David (Judi) Bonadio, and Danette (the late Mark) Stasko. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers- Barney and Joe Shadwick, her sisters- Irene Bonadio and many Bonadio in-laws. Flo was a proud member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish in Glassport where she was a dedicated volunteer at various events but really enjoyed working the fish frys. She was formerly employed as a waitress for many years at the Elbow Room in McKeesport. Flo was faith filled and walked to church every day until she was 90. She loved her family and we all knew that when we were in her presence. We will miss her signature red hair, her funny sayings, playing cards with her, her delicious Italian cooking and talking to her about her Bingo nights. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 10 at 9:30 am at St. Joachim and Ann Parish (Queen of the Rosary campus) in Glassport, PA. Interment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you to the people at Jefferson Rehab and Wellness who helped Flo through some difficult years, but especially her hospice nurse, Sherry and aide, Heather, from Caring Hospice, who showered her with compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Flo’s memory to Sts Joachim and Ann Parish, 530 Michigan Ave. Glassport, PA 15045.

"Ken" Kuchma, 80, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.  He was born February 12, 1942 in West Mifflin and was the son of the late John F. and Margaret (Kapolka) Kuchma.  Ken worked as a fireman for the City of Duquesne for 26 years and then was currently working as a machinist at Dougherty Tool and Dye, in Elizabeth Township for the last 18 years.  He was a very hard worker, who loved his wife and family very much. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked to watch the Pittsburgh sports teams and his grandchildren's sporting events. He will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly (Kenneth) Jarmon of Elizabeth Twp., and Christy Jordan of Waco, TX; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Bell of Perryopolis; long-time friend, Walter M. Jory; also, a nephew and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by beloved son, Craig S. Krepps, and sister, Beverly J. Pierce. Friends will be received in the Paul E. David J. Baier, age 64 of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born June 8, 1958 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Ann (Pitassi) Baier of Shaler and the late Frederick Baier.  A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton and a recently retired Land Administrator for Acosta Sales and Marketing, David was a music lover who DJ'ed in his younger days; a karate instructor in his even younger days, and maintained a knack for computers and tech savvy throughout his lifeitme.  Most importantly, in his retirement cut too short, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.  David is survived by his wife of 39 years Jane Marie (Prosperino) Baier; his children Lisa (Kevin Bickerton) Baier of Clairton and David Baier of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren Kai, Antonio, Jonah, and Emma; his sisters Jeannine (Frank) Konzier of Shaler and Suzanna (Bill) O'Mullen of Philadelphia; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides his father, David was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Baier.
