Andrew M.  "Junior" Murin, age 66, of West Mifflin, died October 23, 2022, at AHN Jefferson Hospital.  Born August 11, 1956, in Clairton, he was the son of the late Andrew Murin.  Andrew was a South Wilmerding Social Club member and enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.  He was a proud father and cherished special meals with his daughters and coaching his son's basketball teams when they were young.

Adalgisa Pillera

Adalgisa Pillera, age 93, of McKeesport, died October 23, 2022, at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth.  Born August 5, 1929, in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina (Ricciotti) Alfonsi and the wife of the late Giuseppe Pillera.  Adalgisa retired from Feig's Bakery, where she worked as a baker and decorator.  She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, and was also a Christian Mother.  Adalgisa spent time outside tending to her garden and always enjoyed a good espresso with dessert.  She was the oldest of seven siblings and always looked out for her younger brothers and sisters.  When she was fourteen, she moved to Rome on her own to work as a maid and send the money she made back to the family.

Dominic M. Judy

Dominic Michael Judy, age 61, of Harrison City, passed away at home on October 15, 2022, after an extended illness. Born on October 2, 1961, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Virginia M. (Teti) Judy and the husband of Christine (Buleza) Judy for 32 years.
After Dominic graduated from McKeesport High School and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, he worked as a pharmacist at McKeesport Hospital, Rite Aid, and finished his career at Express Scripts. Through the years, Dominic always had a love for music and magic. His fascination for music started at a young age. His home and vehicles always had to have the best sound systems for him to enjoy his favorite songs. He enjoyed doing magic for his young nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed traveling with his lovely wife. His favorite destinations were Hawaii and Disney World, which they visited often. Dominic was known for his love for fireworks. His annual Fourth of July firework show was admired by family, friends, and neighbors.

Kenneth J. Mikell, Jr.

Kenneth James Mikell Jr, age 65, of McKeesport, went to be with the lord on October 10, 2022.  He was born on November 30, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Kenneth James Mikell Sr. and Mary Ann McWilliams and husband of Trixie Fullenwider. Kenneth was known to many as "Flea," and to family as "Jimmy".
He graduated from McKeesport High School, class of 1973, where he played football and ran track with a standing record that has yet to be beat. After High School, he attended the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship. In addition to sports, Kenneth was a loving person and a caretaker to many people. He was known for his sense of humor and great stories. He had a great passion for helping and encouraging others. Kenneth will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of those who cared for him deeply.

Wilbert R. Harrison, age 78, of Port Vue, formerly of McKeesport, died October 9, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born May 31, 1944, in Coulter, he was the son of the late Jim and Emmaline Harrison and husband of the late Donna (Zimmerman) Harrison.  Wilbert was a die-hard Steelers fan, and everyone knew there would be no interruptions during the game.  He loved being outdoors with family, fishing and hunting, and cherished his time with the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Wilbert was a very caring and loving guy that would help anyone out.

David E. "Skip" Williams, Sr.

David “Skip” Eric Williams, 72, peacefully departed this life to be with Jesus at home, surrounded by his family, on October 9, 2022.  He was born in McKeesport on December 23, 1949, and grew up in Clairton, PA.  He is the son of Bertha D. Simmons Williams (Homestead, PA) and the beloved late David L. Williams.  Skip enjoyed life by spending time with his family and friends, attending the Gospel of Jesus Church which he was a member of with his wife, Diane, cheering on the Steelers, gardening, watching movies, working in his home, and engaging in lively discussions about politics with his mom.  He was a devoted husband, a committed father, a wonderful son, an incredible grandfather, a loyal friend, and a great provider for his family.
Skip graduated in 1967 from Clairton High School, where he played football and met lifelong friends.  He had an unmatched work ethic reflected in the 48 years he worked at US Steel Clairton works.  He later joined the U.S. Marine Corps., where he was an Investigator, received the National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Marksman Badge.  He took great pride in his service, and that training was seen in his determination, strength, grit, and never give up attitude.  Skip was a fighter with faith who endured the race.

Tonya L. Ayers, age 46, of McKeesport, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2022, at home, after a year of hospitalizations and surgeries. Born July 25, 1976, in McKeesport was the beautiful daughter of Linda Ziino and the late James R. Ayers.
Tonya was a caring, compassionate and gentle person. Her favorite thing to do was to cook and feed anyone. Tonya was an avid cat lover and Pittsburgh Steeler fan; she will be greatly missed by many. She worked as a waitress and bartender for many local businesses. Tonya was very much a people person; she recently started making flower arrangements for everyone she knew.

Salvi, age 71, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on September 26, 2022.  She was the wife of Michael Salvi and daughter of Santa (Raffle) Mikita and the late Peter Mikita, Jr.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Steven (Jennifer) Salvi and Jared (Alyson) Salvi. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Norwin Alliance Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Epler.  Helen was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish and the Holy Trinity Senior Group.  She worked as a cashier at the Victor Theatre in McKeesport and J&L Steel, inspecting bombs that were sent overseas during World War II.

Dolores Irene Waskowitz, 92, and a lifetime resident of Port Vue, died Sunday, August 28, 2022, under hospice care at Overlook Green Senior Living in Whitehall, PA.
Born March 11, 1930, in Port Vue, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Pearl V (Klaja) Dudik, and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John V. Waskowitz.
Meticulous in every detail, Dolores took pride in decorating her home. She loved tending to her roses, reading historical biographies, collecting antiques, and frequent driving trips with her husband to the Laurel Highlands and other scenic destinations.

Edna M. Paterra, age 88, died August 22, 2022, at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport, PA.
Born December 3, 1933, in Baltimore, MD., she was the daughter of the late Mildred F. (Boles) Schrader and the late Howard C. Schrader.
She was the loving wife for 61 years of the late Falco A. Paterra. She was also preceded in death by her sister Virginia Cearns.
She is survived by daughters, Janet (Dan) Lundie of TN and Linda (Mark) Jesionowski of North Huntingdon; son Jeff (Amy) Paterra of Colorado; grandchildren Michael (Katie) Jesionowski, Matthew (Jennifer) Lundie, Rob (Lindsey) Jesionowski, Alison (Adam) Cook, Kevin, Elizabeth, and John Paterra; seven great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; and sister-in-law, Jean Paterra.
