AMY L. SCHINK, 100, of Duquesne, died Aug. 3, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Burnett) Kettler and wife of the late Paul Schink. Amy is survived by her sons Paul "Gary" (Joan) Schink of West Mifflin and Theron "Sandy" (Betty) Schink of Duquesne and daughter Gretchen Varelli of Manchester, NJ; also 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. MARLENE A. GOEDEKE, 69, of West Mifflin, died July 5, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Andrew and Ann (Babjak) Ferencz. She is survived by her daughter Kristy Goedeke; brothers Ronald and Andrew (Connie) Ferencz and loving cats Shorty and Ginger. Marlene was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Lesko. Helen Obrosky, 98, of Duquesne, died June 7, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Rakowska) Wozniak. Wife of the late David Obrosky. Helen is survived by her daughter Janice Girovsky of McKeesport; son Larry (Elizabeth) Obrosky of West Mifflin; grandchildren Jennifer (Jim) McCalla of West Mifflin and Paul Obrosky of West Mifflin and great granddaughter Ashley McCalla. She was a member of St. Hedwig. Church. Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, Mon. from 10:00 to 11:00 am at which time a blessing will be held with Father Tom Lewandowsky. Interment will be private. The family would like to sincerely thank Three Rivers Hospice for all their kindness and care they gave to Helen, especially Ashley, Elysha and Julie. Phillip R. Craig, 66, of Duquesne, died June 3, 2017. He is the son of the late Ross and Mary (Carpenter) Craig. CELESTINE LESKO, 87, of West Mifflin, passed away Tues., April 25, 2017 due to complications of a stroke. She is survived by her son Lawrence (Debra), Richard and James Lesko and granddaughter Jessica. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis in Feb. 2007. Gabriel "Baba" Medich, 87, passed peacefully at home in White Oak on April 16, 2017. He was born Nov. 3, 1929 'below the tracks' in Duquesne, Pa before moving to Polish Hill in West Mifflin where he raised his family. He moved to White Oak to live with his daughter and family in 2010. He was the son of the late George and Maria (Boban) Medich. He was married to the late Dorothy (Gavlik) Medich for 57 years when she passed in 2008. Surviving are his son David (Teresa) Medich from Conway, SC and his daughter Marcie (Michael) Ward from White Oak. His grandchildren, Cassandra and Gabriel Ward, were his world and shining stars. He is survived by a sister Diana (Jerry) Drobac of Finleyville and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann Salopek, 58, died Saturday March 18, 2017 with her loving daughter Jennifer by her side. She was the daughter of the late John Cvejkus and Catherine Pruitt. Mary Ann was preceded in death by brother John Cvejkus and is survived by sister Kathy (Gary) Frizzi, daughter Jennifer Salopek, and grandson Tyler Salopek. Olga M. Hunt, 99, of West Mifflin died March 14, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Bodner. Wife of the late Walter Hunt. She is survived by her children Marsha (Buck) Willis, Carolyn (Russell) Opalko, and Laura (Rich) DiDomenico; brother Zoly Bodner; brother-in-law Ernest Robert Hunt; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lula is survived by her dauhter Margaret Jane (Jesse) Sellers of West Mifflin; granddaughters Cynthia (Robert) McCorkle and Catherine (Terry) Burgess; great grandchildren Wesley and Jesse McCorkle and Jared and Elizabeth Burgess and 2 great great grandchildren Archer and Hunter.

NANCY LENHART THOMAS, the only child of Dr. James Henry Lenhart and Margaret Augusta Lenhart died Nov. 30, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William H. Thomas. She was born March 10, 1933 in Pittsburgh. She graduated from Schenley High School, trained as a Registered Radiological Technologist at West Penn Hospital.

GERTRUDE C. BUCHLEITNER, 99, of Duquesne, died Nov. 26, 2016. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Cecilia (Schultz) Snyder. Wife of the late Eugene C. Buchleitner. She is survived by her son Eugene (Sally) Buchleitner of Elizabeth and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son James Buchleitner and brother Frank Snyder. Gert was a member of St. Joseph Church and worked at the Canopy in McKeesport. LAWRENCE “LARRY” E. McKENZIE, 67, of West Mifflin died Oct. 25, 2016. He is the son of the late Edward E. and Evelyn (DeVault) McKenzie. He is survived by his son Richard McKenzie; granddaughter Brooke McKenzie; sister Hilda Cooley; niece Kelley Ursiny; nephew Patrick Cooley; great nieces and nephews Tara, Joelle and Andrew Ursiny and Emily Halliday.
Lawarence was retired from J & L Steel as well as St. Francis Hospital – Central Medical Pavillion. Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, Sat. from 2-6.

MARY KATHRYN TKOCS of Duquesne, died Oct. 4, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Nancy (Gamble) Pirhalla. She joins her late husband, Walter "Wally" Tkocs, who died April 21, 2005, after spending 52 years together. In the later years, they spent 6 months in Florida and 6 months in Duquesne and Plantation Park in Mercer, Pa. She was a bank teller for the National City Bank of Duquesne, retiring after 12 years of service. Kay graduated in 1950 from Duquesne High School. She was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish. She is survived by her sons Douglas (Valerie) Tkocs of West Mifflin and Walter Tkocs, Jr. of Glassport; granddaughter Kayla (Justin Lutheran) Tkocs and great granddaughter Gianna Marie Lutheran; also nieces and nephews. She was a cub scout den mother; a former member of the Duquense Auxillary Police; former member of the Duquesne Women's Club; former member of the AARP and a Red Hotter at the Boy Lake Estates in FL. Kay was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Pat Lengyel. She was a die heart Steeler and Pens fan. She enjoyed sewing all her granddaughter's clothes, knitting and doing crafts and entering shows. She camped every weekend at Plantation Park in Mercer.
