He was born in Russellton, PA on January 10, 1960 and is the son of the late Julius and Helen Przybyla Kleya. He was employed as an engineer at ABB in Natrona Heights, Westinghouse in Cranberry, and the Elliott Group in Jeannette. Michael was a member of the Elliott Group Golf League and loved to coach Monroeville’s youth baseball, basketball, and soccer teams.

Ronald Wayne Corman, age 81, of Fort Myers, FL, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born in McKeesport, PA on July 4, 1941 and is the son of the late Harry O. and Martha Louise Hunter Corman. He graduated from Duquesne High School and attended Waynesburg University and the University of Pittsburgh. Ronald proudly served in the United States Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal as a Sharpshooter. After serving in the United States Army, he retired from CSX after 32 years as a Locomotive Engineer. He was a member of numerous organizations including, the General Smedley D. Butler Post 701 White Oak American Legion; Braddock Elks Lodge No. 883; Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania Infinity Lodge No. 546 in Penn Hills; Shriners International; Moose General Assembly Lodge No. 3000; Boston Vets Club; GBU in Duquesne; and the McKeesport Sportsmen’s Association.

Joseph Stephen Szalko, Jr., age 71, of Port Vue, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born in McKeesport on October 27, 1950 and is the son of the late Joseph Stephen, Sr. and Katherine Lytle Szalko. He was a 1969 graduate of Duquesne High School and was employed at US Steel, Edgar Thompson Plant, in their railroad division. Joseph was very good in baseball in his younger years and played semi pro for the Zemps. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins, and watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He also loved animals and especially his cat, Charlie.

She graduated from McKeesport High School and attended business college in McKeesport. She was employed as a secretary at USX Edgar Thompson Works for almost 35 years and also employed at USX Homestead Works and Christy Park Works for some time. She was a member of the First Christian Church in McKeesport and the Order of the Eastern Star.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA); McKeesport Sportsman’s Association; and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was employed and retired as a police officer for White Oak Borough. He also was a self-defense and firearms instructor for the McKeesport Sportsman’s Association and the White Oak Police Department and was a White Oak City Councilman for six years.

He was born in Pittsburgh on February 12, 1933, grew up in the South Side, and is the son of the late Stanley and Catherine Dudrick Slinskey. He served in the United States Army in the Armored Tank Division during the Korean War. After the war, he was employed as an insurance sales agent for John Hancock for 38 years. He loved spending time with his family, listening to easy listening music, and watching old Sherlock Holmes and Western movies. He was a very religious man, attended Mass often, and enjoyed serving as an altar boy in his youth.
