Olive O. “GaGa” Patterson Thompson 72 of Donora, formerly of Belle Vernon, McKeesport, and Clairton passed away on Thursday May 25th, 2023 at her home. She was born in Clairton on May 21st, 1951 to the late James H. and Frances Ray Patterson. Olive was the loving wife of 23 years to the late James C. Thompson Sr.

She is survived by her son James C. (Laura) Thompson Jr. of McKeesport, daughter Melissa Thompson of Wilkinsburg, sisters Ruth Ann Rhodenhaven of Donora, Linda Apperson of Donora, brothers Harry (Marlene) Patterson of Fredericksburg VA, Larry Patterson of Uniontown, grandchildren Alyssa, Cassidy, Brad, Kayla, Dylan, Karly, and CJ and great-grandchildren Marlena, Aden, and Jaden, as well as nieces and nephews.

Ruth Elaine Conley Drobac, 97 a lifelong resident of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at The Palms at O’Neil. She was born in McKeesport on December 24, 1925 to the late William and Mabel Shaw Conley.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dushan Drobac, as well as companion Pete Ostovich. Ruth worked for the McKeesport Connecting Railroad, and then she later worked as a secretary for Auberle Home for Boys. She was known to be avid with organization and keeping notes in order, which made her an excellent secretary. Ruth was also a member of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 25th from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon at I.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Edward Robert “Bone” Petersen, 62, of Duquesne, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at UPMC McKeeport. He was born in McKeesport on October 15, 1960 to the late Robert and Cecila Cabon Petersen. He is survived by sons, Brenden Petersen of Pinellas County, FL, Derek Petersen of Elizabeth, Jordan (Alexis) Petersen of Clairton, sisters Kathleen (George) Kovtun of Clairton, Eileen (John) Rossi of Clairton, Sharon (Jim) Doyle of North Versailles, grandchildren Julian, Sterling, Halsley, Zayla, Logan, Roman and Damian as well as nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by brother Daniel Petersen. Edward worked at Petersen Machine Shop for 27 years, and also did welding and roofing. Kenneth Leroy “Cricket” Trainer, 83 of Dravosburg, formerly of North Hills, passed away on Saturday, May 20th 2023 at his home. He was born in Clairton on August 8th 1940 to the late Chauncey and Edith Roche Trainer. Kenneth was the loving husband to the late Charlotte Abell and Donna Dicecco. He is survived by his son Donald L. Trainer of McKeesport, step-son John McGarrity of McKeesport, and step-daughter Carol Daugherty of McKeesport, and great granddaughter Hailey Trainer of McKeesport as well as many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers and his sister and his granddaughter Dawn Trainer. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. Kenneth enjoyed dancing, playing pool, and gambling. Kenneth worked as a lab technician for PPG industries. Mildred “Jeanie” Jean Griffith Keys, 90, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of West Elizabeth, passed away on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at Jefferson Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in West Elizabeth on November 15th, 1932 to the late Thomas Jefferson and Elsie Mae Jackson Griffith. Jeanie was the loving wife of 43 years to the late Walter S. Keys, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Janet Mae (James) November of Vandergrift, Cynthia A. (Bruce) Smith, of Jefferson Hills, step-daughter Linda M. Chesney, of Delmont, son Jeffrey Scott Keys, of Vandergrift, step-son, Lawrence (Marie) Keys, of McKeesport, grandchildren, Tiffany, Jimmy, Sara, Ashley, Brian, Stacey, Tara, Amanda, Glenn, Michael and Ian, great-grandchildren, Kristy, Abigail, Dulcie, Bonita, Savannah, Benjamin, Morgan, John Glenn, Lily, Ethan, Liam, and Samuel and great-great granddaughter Alora. Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband Walter S. Keys, Jr., sisters Helen Mae Hoffman and Elizabeth Ann Rector, great-grand children Timothy and Wyatt. Jeanie was a graduate of Elizabeth High School in 1950 and was employed by the K-Mart in West Mifflin for twenty-three years. She was born in McKeesport on June 7th, 1957, to the late John and Janet (Langsdorf) Ross. Janet was the loving wife of 43 years to Leon Mack. She is survived by her husband Leon as well as sisters Brenda Lee Ross of McKeesport, Sharon Orbin of Glassport, and Nancy (Steve) Callahan of McKeesport. Further survivors include multiple nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings Debra Callahan and John Ross Jr. She was a nurse’s aide for various companies and enjoyed playing bingo. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 14th, 1941, to the late Trafim and Mary (Pancrato) Yenchenko. Nancy was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Leonard T. Bitkowski. She is survived by her daughters Sherri (Scott) Basch of Jefferson Hills and Pamela (Jerry) Angotti of Clairton. Surviving grandchildren include Nathan, Michael, Jeremy, Tom, and Gabrielle, as well as great-grandchildren Mason, Oliver, and Gia. Further survivors include a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Bitkowski Sr., son Leonard Bitkowski Jr., daughter Lisa Snyder, grandson Jarad Angotti, sisters Olga and Pauline Yenchenko, and brothers Raymond, David, Jack, Leonard, and Donald Yenchenko. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with her beloved family. Nancy served meals to students at the West Jefferson Hills School District for over 44 years. William “Bill” Davis, 77 of Clairton, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, April 21st, 2023, at his home. He was born in McKeesport on July 12th, 1945, to the late Charles P. Sr., and Rose M. (Barna) Davis. William was the loving husband of 47 years to the late Helen Davis. He is survived by children Amber Paluti of Waynesburg and Rebecca Davis of Clairton and brother Charles Davis Jr. of Ohio. Further survivors include grandchildren Christy Paluti, Jonathan Davis, Kristin Davis, Samantha Rush, Jordan Jones, as well as great-grandchildren Randol, Layla, and Delilah, and nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his son William Michael Davis, daughter Helen Charmaine Davis, sisters Gloria Jean Connay and Barbara Laffey, and dog Petie. He was the former owner of Billy’s Pizza as well as a volunteer for Jefferson Hospital. He enjoyed puzzles and listening to the radio, as well as having great talents as a jack of all trades. William also loved the John Wick movies and could often be found listening to Bob Seger’s song Like a Rock. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, from 9-10 AM at S.M. He was born in Dravosburg on October 23, 1938, to the late Joseph and Sarah “Evelyn” Rack Slack. Joseph was the loving husband of 34 years to the late Rosalie Sgattoni Slack. He is survived by his son Joseph P. (Janet) Slack of Dravosburg, his daughter Julie A. (Wayne) Kutchak of Liberty Boro, sister Martha Domer of Liberty Boro, grandchildren Wayne Kutchak of Port Vue, and Kristin (Ted) DuBois of Cecil Township, and great-grandchildren Taylor, Teagan, Caden, Noah, and Kennedy as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa M. Slack and his brother Lawrence Slack. He was a member of Corpus Christi, Mary Mother of God Parish in McKeesport, he was a lifetime NRA member and was also a member of the Elizabeth Township Sportsmen's Club. Joseph served in the United States Army. He worked as a crane operator for Duquesne Slag/Lafarge. She is survived by daughters Stephanie (Michael) Morris of Union City and Zofia (Richard) Lattanzi of Clairton, as well as sons Shawn Link of Pittsburgh, Charles Barry of Clairton, Matthew (Rebecca) Barry of Corry, and stepchildren Burnie Lillie, Brandon Lindstrom, Kristy Murray, Jessica Goodrich, and Carrie Rigby. She is further survived by brother Raymond (Karen) Michel and sisters Sharon McGuire and Donna Michel. Additional survivors include grandchildren Elias, Issac, McKenna, LaKota, Logan, Tyler, Brooke, Ayla, Zyra, Tessa, Gabe, Nathan, Conner, Corey, and numerous step-grandchildren. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 3rd, 1960, to the late Charles V. and Harriet Coddington, Sr. He is survived by his daughter Danielle Kosowski of McKeesport, son Garrett Sainiak of Glassport, stepchildren Emerald Hanus of Elizabeth, Daniel Williams of Baldwin, and Zack Williams of Elizabeth, as well as his former spouse Robin Coddington of Arkansas. Additional survivors include granddaughter Gianna Rose, as well as brothers and sisters and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his first wife Tracy Coddington. He enjoyed gardening, boating, and fishing. He was employed by Waste Management for 15 years as a roll off driver. Charles also proudly owned his own roofing company, Tri-County Roofing. She was born in Bedfordshire, England on August 3rd, 1938. Betty was the loving wife to the late Eugene M. Rhodes. She is survived by her daughter Alice (Wesley) Moyle of Youngwood, and sons Steve (Suzanne) Rhodes of Glassport and Eugene Rhodes of Elizabeth Township. Betty is further survived by grandchildren Ozzy, Amber, Betty Jean, Samantha, Wesley, Zairra, Christopher, Milah, Billy, Brandon, and Brittany, as well as great-grandchildren Kassidy, Logan, and Bowen. Additional relatives include her siblings Darla, Joyce, Sheila, and Cyril. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting, and crocheting beautiful blankets for those she loved. She was born in Pittsburgh on February 27th, 1933, to the late James and Leona (Mayer) Dalton. Carol was the loving wife of many years to the late Leroy Neyman, Sr. She is survived by her daughters Carolee (late James H.) Burns of White Oak, Lori (Jace) Younge of Elizabeth Township, and her sons Wayne (Twila) Neyman of Dravosburg and Leroy (Claudette) Neyman, Jr. of Elizabeth Township. Further survivors include sister Beverly LaManna of Baldwin, as well as her loving grandchildren Shanne, Wayne, Dale, Abbey, Cody, Kayla, Kerri, Dane, Dillon, Ty, and Kacie. She is additionally survived by great-grandchildren Aiden, Colton, Maddox, Easton, Spence, Sophia, Nolan, Josie, Lane, Lake, and Myka, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen McCall and brother Thomas Dalton.
